OUR STORY

Downtown Church is one of four campuses of Cottage Hill Baptist Church. Our first

official launch date was on August 12, 2018. By God’s grace, we were able to purchase

The Steeple in January of 2023, which has allowed us to expand our programming and

ministry opportunities.

Rather than seeing how “big” we could grow Cottage Hill, the vision was put in place to

plant, replant, and revitalize churches in the greater Mobile area through an initiative we

call “The Hill Collective”.

The aim of this collective, specifically in regards to Downtown Church, is that our cam-

pus reaches a point of health where it can be sent out as an autonomous church. At this

point, Downtown Church will continue to remain a member of The Hill Collective while

also maintaining it’s autonomous nature.

We are continuing to move in this direction as we see the Lord blessing our efforts here

in downtown Mobile.
