Friendship and Loyalty

I Samuel 18-20

David gains a Loyal Friend and Loving Wife

     David gains the loyalty of a Friend.

     David gains the love of a Wife.

David loses a Kings Favor and a Prophet’s Counsel

     David lost the Favor of the King.

     David lost the Counsel of the Prophet.

God has at least three purposes for removing crutches: (Chuck Swindoll)

     Crutches become substitutes for God.

     Crutches offer only temporary relief.

     Crutches keep our focus horizontal.
